Automobiles in German Town Found Marked with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Officers mentioned they were notified by a resident who noticed a car in Hanau smeared with red-colored liquid

Approximately 50 cars have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Vehicles, building surfaces and mailboxes were marked, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Police state they were contacted late on Wednesday evening, when a individual noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored substance.

The liquid had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they added.

Officers then found many other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under regulations prohibiting the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police say preliminary tests indicate the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.

"There is still no lead as to where it came from; authorities are presently not informed of any harm in association with the event," they commented.

Local authorities announced they were trying "to solve the incident" and have asked to the public for information.

An important representative stated the incident made him without words and required to be addressed rapidly.

"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the extremist attack half a decade ago," he stated on a platform, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a gunman targeting people of immigrant origin in five years prior.
